Thank you for checking out another hot post on Bonfire Sit. If you haven't already, subscribe to my YouTube channel and follow me on Instagram for more #content.

Metal Gear Solid is one of the defining franchises of my life. And by that, I mean it literally defined me by becoming my whole personality and, for many years, it was my primary and only obsession. That meant that my feelings about Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots when it first came out were a result of a complicated mixture of the circumstances of my personal life and how I actually felt about the game itself.

With Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 Konami has finally freed MGS4 from the PS3 prison, marking the first and ONLY official release of the game on a platform outside of Sony's Cell-powered behemoth. This gave me an opportunity to return to the game years later and reflect on what the game meant to me and whether what I felt about it was true to the reality of the game.

Naturally, I decided to talk about that in a video for my YouTube channel and, for those interested, I thought I'd share it on Bonfire Sit too. Enjoy!
